I've coached kids and I've won several championships. I think that teaching fundamentals is very imperative not only to kids , but to high level players as well. Many coaches focus too much on collective tactics in defense or offense and assume that teaching fundametals is a waste of time. Therefore, they lose several games. Today, we notice that there's a degradation in the ration of shooting worldwide because we don't give enough time to our players to practice that most important skill. I was a good left-handed shooter, maybe one of the best shooters in Morocco and I've passed this skill to my kids. Most of them shoot very well. Thus, as coaches we need speciality especially in shooting because if you don't show to your kids how to shoot, correct their shooting techniques, make them practice their shooting, they'll never be shooter.
