This is the second part of the Euroleague Championship plays (continued from last week).
Coach Messina ran some screen the screener action off the baseline and sideline out-of-bounds situation.

In the diagram, 3 cuts to the basket off 5’s screen.

If 3 is not open 5 steps out and receives the entry pass. 1 screens 4 and 5 looks to reverse the ball to 4.

4 immediately looks to reverse the ball to 1. 2 steps into the lane and back screens 5, who cuts across the lane.

4 will then screen down for 2.
CSKA also used the Hawk set on a couple of possessions and ran this action.

1 dribbles the ball up the side of the floor as 3 cuts off 5’s screen.

3 continues the cut and screens for 1. 1 drives to the middle of the floor as 5 screens down for 4. 1 can hit 4 and look for a high-low post feed or pass back to 3 on the wing.

On another possession, 3 cuts off 5 and posts up.

5 steps out and 1 reverses to 5. 4 then popped out to the wing and 5 reversed the ball.

With the ball in 4’s hands, 5 screened down for 3.
In addition to running the Horns set, both teams ran this action looking to get the ball inside.

4 pops to the wing off 2 and 1 makes the entry pass. 3 clears to the ball-side corner off 5’s screen.

4 looks to make the entry pass into 5 or can pass to 3 in the corner if the defense plays on the high side.

Panathinaikos added a little twist to this play by quickly reversing the ball from 4 to 1. On the reversal pass, 5 sprints to the top and sets ball screen for 1 to use.
